Native Player is designed so that your video files never leave your home. Files are transferred to your Apple TV directly over your own local network, using the app's built-in transfer page, and are stored only on the Apple TV itself. Your files are never uploaded to our servers, to any cloud service, or to any third party. We have no access to your files, your library, or what you watch.
Native Player does not collect personally identifiable information. The app requires no registration, account, or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. Playback data such as resume positions, selected audio tracks, and subtitle preferences is stored only on your Apple TV and never transmitted anywhere.
The app uses Firebase Analytics to understand general usage patterns in aggregated, non-identifiable form — for example, which playback modes are used and which media formats are encountered (container type and codec names only). Collection of the advertising identifier is disabled. Basic technical information (device model, OS version, language setting) may be collected solely to improve the app.
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to monitor stability. If the app crashes, a crash log (stack trace, device model, OS and app version) is transmitted so we can fix the problem. Crash data does not include personal information and cannot be used to identify individual users.
If a file fails to play, the app offers to send us a diagnostic report — this happens only when you choose “Send Report”, or when you explicitly report a problem from the library. Such a report contains technical details about the media file (container, video/audio/subtitle formats, codec parameters) and the file's name, which helps us reproduce and fix playback issues. Reports contain no other content of the file and no information about you or your device beyond the technical data described above. If a file name contains information you consider private, simply do not send the report.
To receive your files, the app runs a small web server on your Apple TV and announces it on your local network (Bonjour), so that your computer's browser can find it. This server is reachable only from devices on your own network, is active only while the app is open, and serves no data to the internet.
Analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostic reports are processed by Google Firebase services, which operate under Google's privacy policy and security documentation. We do not sell, rent, or share any data with any other third party.
In terms of Apple's App Store privacy labels: we collect no contact information, no location, and no identifiers linked to you. Usage data and diagnostics are limited to what is described in sections 3–5 above and are not linked to your identity.
Native Player does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13.
No personal data is stored by us. Diagnostic and analytics data handled by Firebase is secured according to Google's security protocols and documentation.
Analytics and diagnostic data processed by Google Firebase may be transferred across international borders under Google's applicable safeguards.
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
